Diagnostic characters:

(only one female examined). Forewing, apex blunt, not produced, termen straight or slightly concave in the middle; veins M1 to Cu2 usually tinged with black scales, especially near the base. Hindwing, black discal band on the upperside well developed in male but often reduced in female, submarginal black short lines well developed on the upperside in both sexes, reaching costa or at least space sc+r1.
