Presently, it encompasses six species (MolluscaBase, 2024). This remark is in respect the gender attribution of this genus, originally described as "masculine" ( Simone, 1996: 47 ), but it should actually be "neuter." This correction is necessary as its type species, Coronium coronatum (Penna-N. & Leme, 1978), along with the remaining species, were always treated as neuter. This error is rectified here.
