Fig . 23 Remarks . Smith (2005) recorded two species in northern South America, Venezuela, Colombia, and Ecuador, the southern extent of this Holarctic genus. One species, A. merida Smith, was reared from bracken fern, Pteridium aquilinum (L.) in Venezuela. The specimen collected here is a male and could be either of the two species; the male is not known for A. colombia Smith.
