The species of the genus Meteorus are koinobiont endophagous larval parasitoids of Coleoptera and Lepidoptera . Meteorus pendulus ( Mueller , 1776) and Meteorus rubens (Nees, 1811) have been found on Eupoecilia ambiguella , while Meteorus colon (Haliday, 1835) was obtained from Sparganothis pilleriana . Silvestri (1912) in July and August repeatedly observed some specimens of an unidentified Meteorus from larvae of EGVM collected in Campania and Apulia vineyards.
