Remarks.
Agrilus dilatometatibialis
belongs to species with the most remarkable sexual dimorphism in the genus
Agrilus
and likely generally among buprestids. The male has metatibiae arcuate and strikingly dilated (
Tab. 1
). The apex of metatibiae is bent inwards in form of spine, which bears cluster of setae on the tip. The basal ventrite is deeply transversely depressed with comb of erect setae on its posterior margin. The appearance of this species resembles that of some chalcid wasps.
