Surface of head smooth, of marginal maculae with short rows of large pointed spinules. Numbers of marginal setae 1, 2–3, 2–3, 1–2, 2, 2 and 1 on each side of abdominal segments I–VII, respectively. Setae on head finely pointed. Antennae 6-segmented ( Fig. 7 ), 3rd antennal segment with 13–25 (19.7–24.5), 4th with 13–31 (14.7–28.0) and 5th with 6–18 (9.5–17.0) secondary rhinaria. Chaetotaxy of first tarsal segments 3,3,2 or, rarely, 3,3,3. Siphunculi almost cylindrical and weakly imbricate ( Fig. 11 ). Oviparous female. Body elliptical ( Fig. 4 ), 1.55–2.11 (1.61–1.89) times as long as its width. Living specimens dark-brown or dark olive with black siphunculi and dark brown cauda. Cleared specimens very light, almost not sclerotized, only with light-brown 6th antennal segments, two last segments of rostrum, hind tibia, anal plate, cauda, and sometimes apices of 5th antennal segments, and with brown tarsi, siphunculi or only apices of siphunculi and lobes of subgenital plates. Thorax and abdominal dorsum without any sclerotized bands, sclerites and maculae. Surface of dorsal side of head weakly reticulate, of thorax and abdominal tergites I–VI smooth with very rare spinules, of abdominal tergites VII–VIII with the long rows of small pointed spinules; surface of ventral side of abdomen with long rows of small pointed spinules. Setae on dorsal surface of thorax and abdominal tergites I–VII blunt, pointed or very weakly capitate, on abdominal tergite VIII and ventral surface of thorax and abdomen finely pointed; numbers of marginal setae 1–2, 1–3, 1–3, 1–3, 2, 1–2 and 1–2 on each side of abdominal segments I–VII, respectively.
