S. nemorensis tends to occur in the soils of open areas, less frequently in coniferous and deciduous forests, steppes and agricultural landscapes ( Zalesskaja et al. 1982 ). In the Abrau Peninsula, the representatives of the species were collected from the soil and beneath the stones.
