Isoperla marlynia has been reported from Saskatchewan east to Atlantic Canada and south to Oklahoma, Kentucky and South Carolina (DeWalt et al. 2012a). Within Michigan, however, this is easily the most uncommon Isoperla species and presently known only from four localities scattered across the northern Lower Peninsula and Upper Peninsula.
