In the Czech Republic it was reported only once from the lower Dyje (Thaya) River ( Lucký & Dyk 1964 ). During their survey, P. fasciata was found frequently on catfish in spring period. This species is hence supposed to live in the Czech Republic , although by the sampling method used it was not collected recently ( 1998 through 2008 ).
