Haltere brown and rather long. Legs brown; tibial organ indistinct with a few short bristles, nearly comb-like, not bordered. Claws toothless. Abdomen: Ventral base of hypopygium without lobe, inner margin of gonocoxites with rather strong but not dense hairs. Gonostylus in profile (ventro-lateral aspect) rather narrow, apex densely haired, inner side broad and somewhat spoon-like; subapically with a few (3–4) fine, hyaline spines within the hairs and a long whiplash hair, inserted subapically. Body length: 4.0 mm.

Comments. The species is characterized by having a uniformly dark brown body colour, macrotrichia on the apical part of y, a gonostylus that is broad on the inner side (spoon-like), a few bristles on the mediotergite (unusual for Pseudolycoriella), toothless claws and a weak, somewhat comb-like tibial organ on the apex of the fore tibia. It resembles Psl. planiforceps (Steffan), but differs by having a darker body colour, a long whiplash hair and a weakly structured tibial organ.
