Khafra elegans (Breddin, 1901)

Material examined: LIBERIA: Bong county, Bong mine Dam 12, 29.–30.v.1989, at light, leg. Rolf Garms (1 ♂) .

Distribution: New for Liberia. Democratic Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea (Bioko), Guinea, Ivory Coast.

Remark: Jeannel (1912) had keyed three species under the genus Macrospongus, and Villiers (1948) keyed three (two more were later synonymized) of the 11 known species (Maldonado Capriles, 1990). Taken together, the present specimen unequivocally represents K. elegans .
