Selenops viron sp. nov. (Figs. 7980)
Type. Female holotype from Kenya, Turkana, Kanapoi, 15IX1966, deposited in MCZ.
Etymology. The specific epithet is an arbitrary combination of letters.
Diagnosis. The females of this species resemble S. lumbo, but in S. viron sp. nov. the pockets of the epigynum are situated behind the midline and are more elongated than in S. lumbo (Fig. 79). The course of the internal duct system of the spermathecae also differs (Fig. 80).
Female holotype: Total length 9.90. Prosoma length 4.26, width 4.58. Opisthosoma length 5.62, width 7.07. Eye diameters and interdistances: AME 0.19, ALE 0.09, PME 0.28, PLE 0.35, AMEAME 0.30, AMEALE 0.54, AMEPME 0.12, PMEPME 1.12, PMEPLE 0.56, PLEPLE 2.12, ALEALE 1.68. Leg formula 2341. Leg measurements: I Fe 4.47, Pat+Tib 5.62, Mt 2.81, Ta 1.35, total 14.25; II 4.99, 6.24, 3.02, 1.35, total 15.60; III 4.89, 6.14, 3.02, 1.35, total 15.40; IV 4.99, 5.62, 3.22, 1.35, total 15.18. Prosoma pale brownred. Chelicerae brownred. Legs brown, femora I with a longitudinal prolateral grey band.
