Microvelia pulchella Westwood, 1834
This is one of the most widely distributed species of the genus, with records from Canada to Argentina (Pérez- Gelabert & Floriano 2016), and is commonly collected together with M. longipes and M. mimula in small pools. We present here the first record from French Guiana, where the three species co-occur.
Material examined. FRENCH GUIANA: Cayenne —Crique Patate, puddle, N 0 4.94416, W 0 52.48671, 10.III.2014, (A. Khila; M. E. Santos; A. J. J. Crumière): 7 apterous males, 2 macropterous males, 6 apterous females, 4 macropterous females, 4 nymphs (IGFL).
