Brachymetra lata Shaw, 1933

This species had been recorded from Colombia, Venezuela, Suriname, Brazil and Ecuador, but not from French Guiana (Moreira et al. 2016). The first record from the country is presented here.

Material examined. FRENCH GUIANA: Cayenne —Roura, Bélizon route, N 0 4.35914, W 0 52.32790, 06.III.2014, (A. Khila; M. E. Santos; A. J. J. Crumière): 1 apterous male (IFGL).
