Brachymetra shawi Hungerford & Matsuda, 1957

This species is relatively common in northern South America (Moreira et al. 2011) and was recorded from Cayenne, without further details (Hungerford & Matsuda 1957). We present here a new record from the commune of Roura.

Material examined. FRENCH GUIANA: Cayenne —Roura, Bélizon route, N 0 4.35914, W 0 52.32790, 06.III.2014, (A. Khila; M. E. Santos; A. J. J. Crumière): 1 macropterous male, 1 macropterous female (IGFL).
