Acrotrichis tampoketsae sp. n.

Habitus Fig. 32A. Length 1.06 mm. Very convex reddish brown species, antennae and legs pale brown. Antennomeres 3–11 0.42 mm long Fig. 32 C. Mentum and submentum chaetotaxy Fig. 32 F. Width across eyes 0.39 mm. Pronotum 0.66 mm wide, 0.37 mm long, very strongly curved in posterior half such that there is no hind angle Fig. 32 B. Elytra 0.55 mm long, 0.65 mm wide, with an epipleural carina. Posterior margin of mesoventral collar convex without an excision Fig. 32 H. Metaventral posterior margin and metacoxal plates Fig. 33 I.

Male: ventrite six Fig. 32 G; aedeagus Fig. 32 E.

Female: spermatheca Fig. 32 D.

Etymology. Johnson ms name after the Plateau where the MM specimen was found.

Remarks. The convex shape and form of the spermatheca will immediately separate this distinctive species from all others.

Type data. Holotype: ♀, Ambohitantely SR, ABT/ Sept.2011/04, 1570 m, S. 18°11’46.4" E.47°17’09.9", 1.ix.2011, L.S.Rahanitriniaina (BMNH). Paratypes: 15 examples, same data as holotype; ♀, Ambohitantely Spec. Res., ABT/ Nov/2011/10, sifting forest litter under palm tree, Winkler app. extr., 1600 m, 18.xi.2011, P. Banar (BMNH); 1♀, Plateau de Tampoketsa, 1,500 m, 11.iv.1969, mountain forest, leg. H. Franz (MM).
