Acrotrichis perexigua sp. n.

Habitus Fig. 27A. Length 0.78 mm. Colour brownish black, antennae and legs brownish yellow. Antennomeres 3–11 0.33 mm long Fig. 27 C. Mentum and submentum chaetotaxy Fig. 27 I. Width across eyes 0.28 mm. Pronotum 0.42 mm wide, 0.23 mm long, sides with a slight short sinuation before the posterior angle Fig. 27 B. Elytra 0.44 mm long, 0.45 mm wide. Posterior margin of mesoventral collar slightly sloped at shoulders and without a medial excision Fig. 27 F. Posterior margin of metaventrum and metacoxal plates Fig. 27 H.

Male: ventrite six with +/- 8 fine spines Fig. 28 G; aedeagus Fig. 28 E.

Female: spermatheca Fig. 28 D.

Etymology. Johnson ms name.

Remarks. Only likely to be confused with minuscula and exigua but perexigua is a little more convex than these and all the other small species.
