Distribution. Native. Neotropical; Galápagos: Bartolomé, Española, Floreana, Isabela, Pinta, Pinzón, Rábida, San Cristóbal, Santa Cruz, Santa Fé.
Remarks. This species has been collected in the arid and littoral zones. Adults have been observed visiting the flowers of Scalesia (McMullen & Naranjo 1994; Boada 2005).
