Distribution. Introduced. Cosmopolitan; Galápagos: Baltra, Isabela, Santa Cruz.

Remarks. Adults of this species were reared on Tournefortia pubescens . This species is recorded from low-lying and coastal habitats from a number of oceanic islands and the continental mainland and was probably introduced by human activity (Wheeler & Forrest 2003).
