Distribution. Native. Neotropical; Galápagos: Rábida, Santa Cruz (CAS) .

Remarks. Adults of this species were collected in the littoral zone. This species was originally known only from the Galápagos Islands, but through additional collecting efforts it is now recorded from Costa Rica (Wheeler & Forrest 2003: 280).
