Loewimyia fasciata Forrest & Wheeler, 2002: 310 .

Distribution. Endemic. Galápagos: Española, San Cristóbal, Santa Cruz.

Remarks. Adults of this species (Fig. 22) were most abundant in more humid zones, including Scalesia forest, but were also collected in arid and littoral zones (Forrest & Wheeler 2002). Adults have been observed on decomposing leaves of Scalesia (Boada 2005) .
