Distribution. Introduced. Cosmopolitan; Galápagos: Floreana, Isabela, San Cristobal, Santa Cruz, Santiago.

Remarks. Adults of this species were found in humid and dry zones. Adults have been reared from decaying molluscs and swept from vegetation along seacoasts (Bohart 1947).
