Distribution. Native. Nearctic, Neotropical, French Polynesia; Galápagos: Floreana, Isabela, San Cristóbal (ICCDRS), Santiago.
Remarks. Adults of this species were collected on the sea surface in pleuston nets between islands of the Galápagos (Peck 1994b). This species is believed to have naturally dispersed to the Galápagos and Polynesia (Bickel 1996; Bickel & Sinclair 1997).
