(Figs 1–27)
Kodaianella Fennah, 1956: 508 .
Type species. Kodaianella bicinctifrons Fennah, 1956, by original designation.
Generic diagnosis. Vertex wider at base than long in middle line (1.7–2.3:1), lateral margins slightly diverging distally, disc slightly concave, median carina obscure. Frons broader than long in middle line (1.3– 1.5:1), lateral margins diverging straight to below level of antennae, thence abruptly incurved through 80° to suture, basal margin slightly angulately concave, disc slightly convex, almost flat, median carina distinct. Rostrum scarcely surpassing mesotrochanters, apical segment scarcely shorter than subapical, apex very obliquely truncate. Pronotum longer than vertex in middle line, a small pit beyond each side of middle line, mesonotum in middle line slightly longer than pronotum, disc slightly tumid, anteriorly bounded by a laterally 2-spined. Tegmina longer than widest (1.6–2.4:1), broadening distally, costal margin convex, apical margin convex-truncate, Sc+R forked near base, M forked slightly basad and Cu forked markedly distad of union of claval veins. Wings almost as long as tegmina, anal lobe reduced, apical margin slightly indented twice in Cu.
Male genitalia. Anal segment in dorsal view long, anal foramen in basal half. Pygofer with laterodorsal angles slightly prominent, rounded, lateral margin shallowly sinuate. Genital styles moderately short, about as wide near apex as at base, apical margin more or less abruptly transversely truncate. Aedeagus shallowly Ushaped in lateral view. Phallus with a pair of long stout hooks arising in distal half, directed ventrocephalad below aedeagus.
Female genitalia. Anal segment of female relatively narrow, third valvulae broadly triangular, apical margin membranous, oblique.
Distribution. China (Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan, Shaanxi and Henan) (Fig. 28).
