Distribution: W Europe to Urals, Caucasus, and Balkans, Asia Minor, Iran and Ust-Urt Plateau (Kazakhstan), Morocco, Libya, possbily Algeria.
Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Lower Risk (nt).
