Vernacular Names: Lagos Serotine.
Distribution: Nigeria, Senegal, Bioko (Equatorial Guinea).
Conservation: IUCN 2003 IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Vulnerable.
Discussion: Subgenus Eptesicus . Considered a subspecies of serotinus by Ibáñez and Valverde (1985), but no comparison with bottae was made. Also see Hayman and Hill (1971), who treated platyops as a distinct species based on morphological differences.
