Type Locality: USA, Florida, Pinellas Co., Tarpon Springs.

Vernacular Names: Southeastern Myotis.

Synonyms: Myotis gatesi Lowery 1943; Myotis mumfordi Rice 1955 .

Distribution: SE USA including Florida, north to Indiana and North Carolina, west to Texas and SE Oklahoma.

Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Lower Risk (lc).
