Phoniscus aerosa (Tomes 1858)

Type Locality: "Eastern coast of South Africa." .

Vernacular Names: Dubious Trumpet-eared Bat.

Distribution: Possibly South Africa, but more likely somewhere in SE Asia; known only from two syntypes that may have been incorrectly localized (Corbet and Hill, 1992).

Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Data Deficient as Kerivoula aerosa .
