Synonyms: Falsistrellus krefftii Peters 1869 .

Distribution: E and SE Australia, Tasmania.

Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Lower Risk (lc) as Pipistrellus tasmaniensis .
