Acaricalus rubrifoliae Labanowski, in Labanowski & Soika 2002

Type host and locality. Quercus rubra L. ( Fagaceae), Poland.

Distribution. England (recorded here) and Poland (op. cit.).

Relation to the host. Vagrant on the under surface of the leaves, causing no apparent damage.

Collection details. England, North Yorkshire, York, Sand Hutton (54° 1ʹ 1.92ʺ N, 0° 58ʹ 5.52ʺ W), mid to low numbers on Q. robur, collected by the author, 24.vi.2009.

Additional remarks. Quercus robur is a new host record for this species.
