Type locality. Mont Saint Marcel de la Haute-Camopi, 2o 23’03.00”N 53o 00’37.00”W, 635 m, Commune de Camopi, French Guiana.

Remarks. The species is in the middle of the size range for species of the genus. It can be distinguished from similarly sized species by its primarily black coloration (Sanborn 2016). The timbal cover apex expands over the lateral timbal cavity with a semicircular apex (Fig. 16). Body length 22.2–23.5 mm, fore wing length 31.6–34.95 mm (Sanborn 2016).

Distribution. The species is known currently from the type series collected on Mont Saint Marcel de la Haute- Camopi in southern French Guiana (Sanborn 2016).
