Guyalna distanti (Goding, 1925) n. comb .
(Fig. 11)
Fidicina distanti Goding 1925: 21 .
Fidicinoides distanti Sanborn 2007a: 26 .
Type locality. Macas, Ecuador.
Remarks. The species was transferred to Fidicinoides based on the structure of the cruciform elevation and the relationship between the posterior mesonotum and metanotum (Sanborn 2007a). However, the three-part tarsi along with a timbal cover with the rounded apex and approximate parallel sides as it extends anteriorly fits the expanded description of Guyalna provided here (Fig. 11). As a result, the species is hereby transferred to Guyalna to become Guyalna distanti (Goding, 1925) n. comb . Body length 21–24 mm, fore wing length 34–39 mm.
Distribution. The species has been reported previously from Ecuador, Brazil and Venezuela (Metcalf 1963; Sanborn 2013).
