Zoogeographic element. European.

Distribution. From the southern part of Northern Europe (Finland, Norway) to eastern Russia, from Central and Eastern Europe to the northern part of the Balkan Peninsula.

Distribution in Romania. Epigeal records. Sic-Pästäraia (GS29) (Niţu, 2007); Giumaläu Mt. (LN85) (Nitzu & Olenici 2009); Piatra Craiului (LL63) (17.V.2009, AN leg., ISER). Hypogeal records. Peştera cu Gheaţä (ER70) (22.VII.2003, VI leg., ISER) (Fig. 16).

Ecological status. Trogloxene.
