Zoogeographic element. Euro-Caucasian.

Distribution. Northern (Sweden, Denmark), Western and Central Europe; southward to Spain and Italy and eastward to the Caucasus.

Distribution in Romania. Epigeal records. Bäile Herculane (FQ17) (Kuthy 1896); Vurpär (Sibiu) (KL98), Reghin (LM28) (both: Petri 1926; Jeannel 1936) (Fig. 13).
