Dendrobaena sp.

(Fig. 11.)

Dendrobaena semitica: Omodeo & Rota 1989: 187 . Çank ı r ı pass between Ilgaz and Çank ı r ı, Çorum N. of İskilip, Çorum Elvançelebi, Çorum Sehler, Kars, Çorum Boǧazkale. Dendrobaena semitica: Omodeo & Rota 1991: 180 . Bolu between Bolu and Mudurnu.

Remarks: The specimens above from Northern Turkey, with clitellum on 2433, tubercles on 3032 differ markedly from D. semitica which has a clitellum on 2633 and tubercles on 3133. The only character in common is the last pair of hearts situated in 10. These clitellar data are similar to that of D. orientalis but it has the last pair of hearts in segment 11 instead of 10, so these specimens could not be classified to D. orientalis . They might represent an undescribed species. This is more probable if their nephridial pores are aligned over setae b as indicated in the figure 17 of Omodeo & Rota (1989 p. 190), because both D. orientalis and D. semitica possess irregularly alternating nephridiopores between setal line b and over d.
