Passalozetidae Grandjean, 1954
Passalozetes intermedius Mihelcic, 1954
Distribution: Central and Southern Europe, Caucasia, Central and Eastern Asia
Habitat: in xeric habitats; dry meadows
Obergurgl area: pine forest at 2050 m (Zirbenwald)
Remark: In previous studies Passalozetes perforatus was detected at 2230 m (alpine meadows with lichen communities) and at 2800–3100 m (Androsacetum alpinae), in the latter in rather high abundances of 300–600 individuals/m2. Further investigations must be carried out to reveal if this genus is now restricted to lower altitudes. Nomenclatural remark: Bipassalozetes (B.) intermedius (Mihelcic, 1954) according to Subías (2012)
