Distribution: Pantropical (Southeast China, Ecuador).

Records in Ecuador: Loja (andean mountain region of the Loja valley) and Zamora Chinchipe (Podocarpus National Park-Bombuscaro).

Habitat: Soil and litter of Alder sp. Litterbags of Graffenrieda emarginata, Clusia spp. and Cavendishia zamorensis .
