Distribution and habitat. Distribution in Iraq: Shatt al-Arab River.—General distribution: Northwestern Indian Ocean: Persian Gulf and Gulf of Oman east to Pakistan.—Habitat: This species is a demersal species that occurs in brackish to marine waters and is found in open mudflats and nearby stunted mangroves.
