Known distribution. BRASIL (Amazonas, Ceará, Piauí, Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro), COSTA RICA, ECUADOR, GUYANA FRANCESA, GRANADA, HONDURAS, NICARAGUA, PANAMA, SAINT LUCIA, SAINT VICENT, VENEZUELA.
Remarks. Widely distributed throughout the Neotropics, this species was previously recorded in the Northeast Region only for the states of Ceará and Piauí (Takiya et al. 2016). This study extends its known distribution and provides the first record for the state of Maranhão [Mirador Municipality].
