Body. Ocellus on anterior margin or slightly below anterior margin. Frontoclypeus not tumid, clypeal sulcus prominent. Forewing usually with three anteapical cells, inner anteapical cell open basally.
Male. Pygofer side with short tooth on apical half near ventral margin. Segment X long, sclerotized dorsally and laterally. Valve long, triangular. Style preapical angle distinct. Connective Y-shaped or H-shaped. Aedeagus base triangular, shaft strongly curved dorso-anteriorly.
Distribution. Worldwide.
Remarks. The species of this genus are a very homogenous assemblage and have been placed in various genera at one time or another based on external appearance, including the five genera synonymised here, i.e., Arya Distant, Bituitus Distant, Nandidrug Distant, Paivanana Distant and Viridomarus Distant (see also generic synonymy and introduction).
