Stirellus multipunctatus sp. nov.

Length. Male: 3.4–3.6mm.
Color. General color ochraceous (Fig. 15). Vertex with dark brown, orange-red or brownish red band interrupted medially. Vertex and pronotum with brown dots (Fig. 15 A). Face with dark brown markings (Fig. 15 C). Pronotum, mesonotum and scutellum with orange-red longitudinal band. Forewing with brown hue (Fig. 15 A).
Body. Head narrower than pronotum, anterior margin rounded to face, acutely angled. Vertex longer than width between eyes (Fig. 15 A). Ocellus next to eye slightly below anterior margin (Fig. 15 B). Eye relatively large (Fig. 15 A). Anteclypeus parallel-sided, extending slightly beyond normal curve of genae (Fig. 15 C). Pronotum median length slightly shorter than median length of crown. Mesonotum and scutellum shorter than pronotum (Fig.15 A). Forewing macropterous (Fig. 15 B).
Male. Pygofer side with few macrosetae dorsally, apex rounded (Fig. 16 A). Subgenital plate rounded laterally, macrosetae uniseriate laterally (Fig. 16 B). Style apophysis digitate, strongly laterally curved (Fig. 16 C–D). Connective H-shaped, stem shorter than anterior arms (Fig. 16 E). Aedeagal shaft tapered distally to acute apex, relatively straight and diverging from basal apodeme in lateral view, lower part semi-circular in cross section (Fig. 16 F–G).
Material examined. Holotype: Ƌ, China, Poh-10 District, 6–8 April 1934, coll. K. C. Young (SYU) . Paratype: 1Ƌ, China, Fuqing County, Mashi, 25 August 1933 (SYU).
Remarks. This species can be distinguished by the distinct markings on vertex and pronotum (Fig. 15 A).
Etymology. The species epithet refers to the series of spots on the vertex and pronotum.
