Variation. Based on the examined specimens, the pygofer has the inner membrane forming a wrinkled process at about basal 2/3 (Fig. 144), undescribed in the diagnosis of Nielson (1977: 58, Fig. 175); the paraphysis basal process is a mirror image from Guizhou, Jiangxi, Zhejiang, Anhui (Fig. 147) to specimens from Fujian, Guangxi (Fig. 150); style sharply pointed forming spine distally (Figs. 147, 149) or truncated (Figs. 150, 152).

Remarks. This species was described from the holotype (female) from BMNH. It is very similar to T. fossa Nieslon, 1977 in general appearance, but differs in having the ventral processes of segment X shorter (Fig. 144) than in T. fossa (Fig. 101); also, the paraphysis has one basal process, and the distal half is not excavated as in T. fossa (Figs. 104, 107, 147, 150).
