Loneura maracaensis García Aldrete, 2004

Description. As in the original description (García Aldrete, 2004: 306, Figs 6–10).

Taxonomy update. Phallosome (Figs 41, 42), side struts anteriorly not fused, V-shaped, widening distally, fused to external parameres, these stout, anteriorly narrow and sclerotized, medially wide, ending in a lobed projection bearing a field of pores. Four pairs of endophallic sclerites; an anterior pair proximally curved inward with pointed apices, distally narrow and almost straight, ending in rounded tips; mesal pair strongly sclerotized, stout, proximally and distally with rounded tips, medially slightly curved, wide in almost its entire length; lateral pair heart shaped; posterior pair, elongate, proximally wide, concave with two rounded projections, slender distally, ending in an elongate outward curved tip, hook shaped.

Material examined. Holotype male (INPA). BRAZIL. Roraima. Río Uraricoera, Ilha de Maracá. 21–30.XI.1987. Malaise trap. José Albertino Rafael et al. 23 males, 12 females (INPA). BRAZIL. Roraima, Maracá.Armadilha Malaise 2. 1–15.II.2017. Boldrini, R. leg. Males 1, 3, 4, 6, 7, 9, 15, 17, 21, 24 and females 2, 5, 8, 10, 12 are dry mounted and the others are preserved in alcohol. All remaining parts of the body is preserved in glycerin.

Range. Known only from the type locality, Roraima, Rio Uraricoera, Maracá Island .

L. maracaensis was known until now from only 4 specimens, its male holotype (García Aldrete, 2004), its female and 2 males (differentiated as male A and male B) (Lima et al., 2019). Now we provided more 35 specimens (23 males and 12 females) to be studied.
