Eumorpha fasciatus fasciatus (Sulzer, 1776)

General distribution. South USA to Argentina including the West Indies.

Distribution in the DR. Widespread throughout the country.

Habitat. A species of open, generally humid environments, reaching an elevation of 1600 m in the central mountain range.

Host plants. Onagraceae (genus Ludwigia).
