General distribution. Endemic to Hispaniola.
Distribution in the DR. La Altagracia, Barahona, Cordillera Central, Pedernales (Fig 1. C).
Habitat. Elevation: 0–1630 m asl. This beautiful species flies in heavily wooded and generally cool and humid biotopes in the Cordillera Central, at low and medium elevations (Fig 9. B, E).
Host plants. Larval stages and host plants unknown.
