Manduca afflicta hispaniolana Brechlin & Haxaire, 2014 (Fig 7. A)

General distribution. Endemic to Hispaniola.

Distribution in the DR. So far, only known from Monte Cristi and Puerto Plata (Fig 1. B).

Habitat. A species of the semi-desert zone, at best sparsely wooded and strongly xeric environments in the north of the island (Monte Cristi).

Host plants. Larval stages and host plants unknown.
