Erinnyis ello (Linnaeus, 1758)

General distribution. Canada to Argentina including the West Indies.

Distribution in the DR. Widespread throughout the country.

Habitat. An ultra-generalist species, common everywhere up to very high elevations and in all environments.

Host plants. Larva on Euphorbiaceae, Sapotaceae and Myrtaceae .
