Floret Octobri" [Grows in cold rocky places of the Andes of Quindiu, close to El Boqueron del Paramo, 3000 m, Flowers in October], Humboldt s/n, (lectotype, designated by Mathieu and Callejas (2006: 341: B!; isolectotype: P)) .
Distribution and habitat.
Montane forests of the Andes of Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru, on rocks or more frequently epiphyte.
Note.
This species belongs to Peperomia subg. Micropiper (Miq.) Miq. (Frenzke et al. 2015).
