Type Locality: USA, Alaska, "in the strait west of Adakh [sic] Island, one of the Aleutian group".

Vernacular Names: Dall's Porpoise.

Distribution: North Pacific: cold-temperate waters.

Conservation: CITES – Appendix II; IUCN – Lower Risk (cd).

Discussion: Reviewed by Jefferson (1988, Mammalian Species 319). Rice (1998:125) recognized P. d. dalli and P. d. truei (True’s Porpoise).
