(Fig. 1)

Pseudoptygonotus kunmingensis Zheng, 1977: 311 [description] (holotype, female, China: Yunnan, Kunming (Mt. Xishan), deposited in Institute of Zoology, Shaanxi Normal University, Xi’an, China; allotype, male, same data as holotype).

Conophymacris chuxiongensis Wang, 1993: 106 [description] (holotype, female, China: Yunnan, Chuxiong, deposited in the Department of Biology, Shandong University, Jinan, China; paratypes, 2 females, same data as holotype). syn. nov.

Material examined. P. kunmingensis, 6 males, 1 female, CHINA: Kunming, Yunnan Province, 3 May. 2018, alt. 2137 m, leg. Jishan Xu ; 2 males, 6 females, CHINA: Kunming, Yunnan Province, 23 Apr. 2024, alt. 2302 m, leg. Zhilong Yin, Fangting Li.

Notes. We examined P. kunmingensis collected from the origin locality specimens, Kunming (Mt. Xishan), which is also distributed in Chuxiong, about 100 km away. Meanwhile, We found that the main characteristics of C. chuxiongensis (interocular distance broad; median and lateral carina of pronotum distinct, posterior margin angularly incised; prosternal process transversely compressed, triangular, apex pointed; hind femora with upper carina smooth, apex of lower knee lobes rounded; body brown, hind tibiae ultramarine) completely agreed with P. kunmingensis, indicating they be the same species. Therefore, a new synonymy is proposaled, Conophymacris chuxiongensis Wang, 1993, syn. nov. = Pseudoptygonotus kunmingensis Zheng, 1977 .
